Driver Education School - Course Description
Classroom
Instruction: We have a new and
complete class every Saturday of the year. The class consists of “one” 8
hour “one day session” at the Harder Performance Building,
10362 Mastin, Overland Park, Ks. 66212.
Located in the Wycliff Shopping Center @ 103rd St. & Mastin or 69 Highway.
The
classroom Text is “Drive Right” and the “Kansas Driving
Handbook”.
Our curriculum is as

IPDE Process, (Identify, Predict, Decide & Execute), the Smith System(Keep
your eyes moving), the Zone System (the front, back & side area of your

Following each
section a test is administered.
Behind-the-Wheel
Driving: After the student has
completed, the “Instructional Classroom” the student will sign up for three
separate two hour driving sessions (6 hours total driving). If the student
lives with the local area (or fairly close), the Instructor will pick up the
student up at their home or school and return them to their home after the
driving lesson has been completed. If outside the local area, other
arrangements will need to be made. The student will be expected to
successfully pass the “Behind-The-Wheel” driving competencies as dictated by
the State of Kansas.
Cost:
$395 Cash, credit cards, money Orders, or checks accepted.
In the event a
student requires additional driving or classroom instruction time to meet
minimum competencies to pass the course, an additional fee will be charged
to cover this instruction.
Additional time
driving with instructors, at the student’s or parents request, is also
available for an additional fee.
